gonna get me a domain name

So I am gonna register the domain name "www.fivepercentyak.com" however, I first have to figure out where to get a nameserver. Godaddy, the domain name registrar, seems to want me to provide a nameserver address if I am going to host the site on my own machine, rather than use their server. This might not be a big deal, but I haven't had much time to deal with this lately, so I need to look into it more. I should see if comcast provides a nameserver that I can use. I also need to figure out how I'm gonna deal with the fact that our IP changes every once in a while.

oh, there seriously is a reason behind calling it fivepercentyak, but I think its much more entertaining if I leave it to your imagination.

in conclusion, this post was completly boring and uninformative, I am sorry for wasting your time. now get back to whatever you were doing.

Elkton is one fucked up place.

Damn you blogger and your deleting posts just when I finish them and go to preview them...

well here it goes again.

So I went to New Hampshire for Thanksgiving. That was fun, but it basically meant almost as much time spent in the car as visiting family. Also, I had to go to the wedding of my Mom's ex-roomate from the 70's whom I had never met. She was getting married for the first time at like age 55, which was a little interesting. Also, my Grandfather gave me his skis since he is like 94, and probabaly wont use them anymore. They are actually multiple decades newer than the skis I have been using, so thats a step up.

On the way back from New Hampshire, we stopped at a Mcdonalds in Delaware, right near the Maryland border, to use the bathroom. My Dad bought some cookies or something so that we werent mooching the bathrooms. The total was $2, but before the cashier even rung him up, he handed her $2.10. The following conversation, or something like it (since I wasnt actually there) ensued, and was truly hilarious:

McDonalds Lady: Why are you handing me $2.10 Sir? Your total is only $2.
My Dad: Oh, sorry, I forgot you dont have sales tax in Delaware. I'm from Maryland, and we have 5% sales tax.
McDonalds Lady: Oh thats ok. My boy friend and his wife live in Maryland.
My Dad: Um, I see. What part of Maryland?
McDonalds Lady: Elkton. Its a really nice part of Maryland. It has an awesome Walmart.
My Dad: I see.
McDonalds Lady: What part of Maryland are you from?
My Dad: Silver Spring, near DC.
McDonalds Lady: Oh, DC. I think thats on the way to Myrtle Beach.

I kid you not, this lady really did admit her adulterous ways to a perfect stranger, judge the worth of a town by the size of its Walmart, and refer to the nations capital as meerly a pitstop on the way to the beach. Even my Dad found this hilarious.

In other hilarious news, as I was typing this the first time, my brother sent me the following link:
Canadians Authorities Arrest US President Bush On War Charges

Along with the following screen shot from news.google.com:

Evidently, Bush went to Canada today and was met with some protesting. But someone decided to write a joke article saying that he was arrested for war crimes while in Canada, and Google News's automated news aggregation algorithm though that this sataire was a real article, including it along with legit articles about Bush's trip to Canada and the protesters who met him there. And as the headline at teh top of the page. Bad for google news's credability, good for hilariousness.

anyway, Im tired of typing. So thats all.
