back to work.

well, the last week was fun, but it sucks to have to go back to work. saturday I drove to white river junction vermont with my family, which is about 20 minutes away from my grandfathers in hanover new hampshire. there was a phish festival going on, and some people asked my brother and I if we were going, probabaly cuz they wanted to buy/sell drugs and we looked just hippie enough that we might have been going. so that was fun. we spent a couple days in Hanover with my grandfather and uncle, and i spent a lot of time fixing his new computer (by the way, AOL sucks, Compaq sucks, and windows XP sucks). then we went sailing in my cousins sailboat at lake winnipisake(sp.) with my grandafather, uncle, and my uncles wife( who I guess is my aunt, but its his third wife, and I really consider the second one, who died, to be my aunt). That was preatty fun, and that area of new hampshire is really beautiful. I wouldnt mind living there. wednesday my parents drove me to manchester airport where I caught a flight to BWI. Manchester airport has got to be the smallest, cleanest, most efficient, and generally least repulsive airport I have ever seen, so that actually was a pleasent experience.

anyway, Ducore picked me up at BWI and we drove to Fenwick Island Delaware, where Elizabeth's aunt has a place near the beach, which we were all using. A fun time was had by all, and by all I mean me ducore, Elizabeth, and Elizabeths cousins. There was some drama which I will not go into detail about, but that certainly made the trip more interesting. Anyway, I am now very itchy from sunburn recieved at bethany beach, and I really dont want to be at work. but on the plus side, I am now a full time employee rather than an intern, and I am making more money, so I cant complain.

i like vacations

not too much going on right now, just work mostly, but next week I am taking yet another week off to first go see my grandfather and other family in New Hampshire, and then fly back home to go to the beach with Elizabeth, Ducore, and a bunch of Elizabeths family. so that should kick ass. the best part of new hampshire will be getting drunk on a sailboat on lake Winipisake(sp?) with my family, which is always a blast. Of course hanging out with my family is never anywhere near as fun as the constant joy of hanging out with Elizabeth, so i am mostly looking forward to the second part of the week. Considering I already took a month long trip to France this summer, it is turning out to be quite the summer of enjoyable vacations. And, we might try and go camping at the beach Labor day, although it appears we may have trouble getting a reservation.

oh yeah, this fall-like weather kicks ass

mindless drivel

so I bought a new hard drive yesterday (200 GIGS, well at least if you are stupid and count in base ten) so I can finally hopefully get my computer up and running at full capacicty, minus all the important files I lost when my 80 GB drive that was only 18 months old died. Ah well, that'll teach me to not back things up.

I just found out that since I am technically an intern here at work, I have to give a presentation on monday about what I have done this summer. nice of them to tell me this, although they did send me an email, which I kind of forgot about, but when I first started here, they were like "all these people are going to come looking for you in the next few days and get you up to speed on what is going on" well the only people who did were people who wanted me to do work, not the internship coordinator guy, who decided not to contact me until id been here for like a month and had already missed half of the events I was 'sposed to go to and didnt tell me anything about a presentation. Ah well, I really need to take more initiative in these things.

Well, thats about All I got, so back to making a BS presentation, not really one of my strong points, but I can make some kickass diagrams, so hopefully they can carry the presentation.
